Social science research suggests that the justice system has endangered community safety and increased criminal recidivism by not focusing on proper criminogenic needs and risks when detaining and sentencing defendants.  With the help of the National Institute of Corrections, a broad based group of citizens is working on a plan to change the way persons are processed, evaluated, treated and incarcerated in Outagamie County.  Judge Des Jardins, Circuit Court Judge for Outagamie County and Tom Nelson, County Executive will present this innovative program.  Don’t miss it!
